ŠKODA Fabia R5

ŠKODA Fabia R5

Skoda is looking at making a place in the European Rally Championship by showcasing the vehicle as a rally car. For American car owners, they may not know much about the Skoda name, but the ŠKODA Fabia R5 is sure to change that. It has been a while since the last rally car from the company made an appearance on the circuit, but the ŠKODA Fabia R5 is looking to do just that in the middle of 2015. Now, the company did need to keep the vehicle under FIA regulations with the specifications, which is why many of the features are not more supercharged. However, the ŠKODA Fabia R5 currently is going to offer a 1.6 liter tuber charged engine that is able to produce 265 horsepower (which is rather significant for an engine of this size). It also comes with a five-speed sequential manual transmission and uses McPherson struts.

It is not yet determined when the vehicle is going to make the debut, but it is believed to be at one of the upcoming races this season. It is also going to be replaced the Fabia vRS for consumers in the next year or two with the expected boost in popularity.
