When Will I Get My Rivian Truck?

One of the most common questions from Rivian customers is, “When will I get my Rivian truck?” The answer depends on the area where you live, but some parts of the country tend to receive the trucks earlier than others. For instance, if you live in Alaska, your truck will probably not arrive until March or April.

While it may seem frustrating, it’s not impossible to wait. Rivian is making delivery time more flexible. Those who already have an R1T reservation may be able to get their truck in six to eight weeks, depending on their preferences. Rivian promises to share more details about delivery dates in early 2022.

But it’s also important to remember that the company is still trying to deliver its first electric truck, the R1T. Although Rivian had originally targeted May 2021 for its debut, it has hit a stumbling block and is unlikely to deliver any trucks before that date. Some customers have reported receiving delivery dates as far out as July 2022. Currently, a poll on RivianForums shows that customers will receive their new R1S electric truck between January and February 2022.

How Many Reservations are in the Rivian?

Rivian, the electric truck company, is experiencing a production snag. After several days of production problems, the company has increased the number of reservations to over 70,000. That is an increase of 28% over the previous month. It is also a lot more than the company originally expected. The company has so far manufactured 652 R1T vehicles and 386 R1S vehicles. It has also sold the first two R1S SUVs.

Rivian has a production schedule of over 4,000 vehicles per month, with a few exceptions. In Q2 of 2018, the company built and delivered 4,401 vehicles. It has not yet released the number of reservations per month, but confirmed that it had more than 48,000 reservations for the R1T and R1S electric trucks before it went public.

The company has built 5,000 vehicles since it went public last November, including the R1S SUV, R1T pickup, and the Amazon EDV 700 delivery van. While it plans to build a total of 50,000 vehicles a year, it is facing difficulties with its supply chain.

Is Rivian Delivering?

There have been several delays with Rivian’s production of the Rivian R1T. Although the automaker has promised to deliver all preorder holders their vehicles by the end of 2021, the company has delayed delivery numerous times. Rivian originally planned to deliver the first model in 2020, but then pushed that date back to September 2021. The delays have occurred because the company lacks manufacturing capacity to meet demand. Rivian plans to break ground on a new factory in Georgia this summer, but that facility won’t be fully operational until 2024. Meanwhile, Rivian still has an order backlog of tens of thousands of vehicles to fulfill.

The company is now aiming to deliver as many as 15 R1S electric SUVs to customers before the end of 2021. However, the production line has hit a stumbling block. Rivian is now stating that customers will not receive their cars until May 2022. However, some customers are seeing delivery dates that go as far back as July 2022. The company’s production line is currently experiencing supply chain issues that are preventing deliveries from beginning sooner.

Are Rivian Trucks Out?

If you’re a customer of Rivian, you may be wondering “Are Rivian Trucks Out?” The answer is “maybe,” and it will depend on your personal preference. You can change your order before it is delivered if you’d like. You can also change your delivery date. However, you’ll still need to wait for the truck to be delivered.

Rivian’s production schedule has been pushed back a few times in recent years. The first batch of R1Ts was originally scheduled to begin deliveries in March 2020, but has been pushed back several months. Now, most deliveries will happen between October and December 2022. While some reservation holders may receive their cars earlier than that, those who make a reservation in late July or August will have to wait until 2023.

Rivian’s production schedule has been affected by a rocky supply chain. As a result, the company has prioritized certain vehicle configurations over others and is working to minimize production costs. Rivian is losing money on each vehicle, so it’s necessary for the company to make some tough business decisions.

How Many Pre Orders are There For Rivian?

The Rivian truck is on the way to manufacturing, but how many pre orders are there? The company has been sending out emails to pre-order holders, telling them to exchange their custom reserved trucks for pre-configured models and take delivery in six to eight weeks. The strategy is logical, given that custom trucks add a lot of complexity to the production line. The Big Three truck manufacturers have well-established parts networks and huge production operations. Without these, there would be delays and cost increases.

Rivian’s recent price hikes have pushed the price of their electric vehicles higher, and the R1T pickup and R1S SUV are now about $20,000 more expensive than originally quoted. The company has apologized to fans who pre-ordered the trucks and have placed a $1,000 deposit. Rivian has now re-instituted the original price quotes for pre-order customers, and the company will honor those prices and delivery dates.

The company filed for an IPO in November, and already has over $12 billion in funding. The R1T electric pickup truck was named MotorTrend Truck of the Year, but its stock has dropped by 50% this year, and the company is not yet close to hitting its production targets for 2017. In fact, Rivian is on pace to fall short of its goal to sell 1,200 cars this year, and is now planning to build a second manufacturing plant outside of Atlanta that will build 400,000 vehicles annually.

What is Wait Time For Rivian?

Rivian has been experiencing production issues, but they are now building a second factory to increase production. Nevertheless, if you want to own a Rivian R1T truck, you are on an indefinite wait list. This means that you may have to wait up to six to eight weeks to get your truck.

As with any startup company, Rivian is struggling to ramp up production. Their current vehicle output is just a trickle compared to their projected 90,000 reservations. Those 90,000 reservations are causing manufacturing and shipping problems, and a tighter supply of battery components. This has led to lengthy wait times for both the regular and Max battery packs.

Rivian had originally estimated that the first delivery of its R1S electric SUVs would be in March 2022, with the majority of deliveries happening during the Summer and Fall of 2022. However, the company has since pushed back these dates by several months. Now, most R1S will be delivered between October and December 2022. However, some reservation holders could get their car as early as August 2022. In the meantime, those who reserved their car in late July or August will have to wait until late 2023.

Can a Rivian Use a Tesla Charger?

Tesla Superchargers are exclusive to Tesla vehicles, but Rivian plans to open them up to all EVs by 2022. The company also has its own network of destination chargers, which will be built along roads popular among road trippers. As with Tesla, the network will be comprised of CCS connectors.

To charge your Rivian, you’ll need a special adaptor. The Tesla plug is different from the Rivian plug, so you’ll need to purchase a J1772 plug adaptor. Luckily, there are some reputable dealers that will help you find the adaptor you need. You’ll also have to be sure to purchase the correct plug adaptor for your Rivian, as Tesla hasn’t yet expanded its network to include charging stations for other EV brands.

Rivian plans to install a charging network for its Rivian R1T electric truck, dubbed the “Adventure Network.” These stations will be available to Rivian R1S and R1T owners, and will contain more than 3500 DC fast chargers. These stations are smaller than Tesla’s worldwide network, but will offer charging speeds comparable to those offered by Tesla’s Superchargers. Rivian is also planning to install more than 4,000 individual Level 2 chargers across the country. These stations will not be tied to a specific brand and will be available to any EV with a J1772 plug.

How are Rivian Deliveries Going?

Rivian is experiencing what’s known as “production hell.” This is where a company has problems getting their production line up and running. It’s a process that Tesla went through a few years ago, and it’s one that many companies face. Regardless of its challenges, Rivian is planning to deliver 25,000 battery electric vehicles by the end of the year.

The company has been sending out emails to Rivian pre-order holders to inform them of when their trucks will be delivered. Rivian’s strategy makes sense, considering that it’s a custom business, which adds complexity to the production line. By contrast, the Big Three truck manufacturers have a massive production network and established part networks. If Rivian tried to compete in these markets, it could face delays and cost increases.

Rivian had previously announced that it would start delivering R1S electric SUVs to pre-order holders by the end of 2021, but recently hit a production snag. Its new delivery dates are now March 2022, and some are even seeing dates as far back as July 2022. RivianForums has polled customers to gauge their expectations, and a majority of respondents said they would receive their vehicles in January or February 2022.
