When Was the First Electric Semi Truck?

How Far Can Electric Trucks Go?

That’s about double the distance of similar-sized diesel trucks. The truck can also go from 0-60 mph in five seconds and can haul 80,000 pounds. That’s more than enough range for many long-haul truck drivers.

In the meantime, the company is focusing on Model 3 and Model Y production. Musk’s comment is part of a book called “Master Plan, Part Deux,” and was made while he was talking about the concept of building an electric semi truck. Since then, Tesla has been taking orders for these trucks and has a large backlog.
