Santa Claus has made his way to Newburyport, Massachusetts. He is arriving on a fire truck and will begin his holiday tour around the city. The parade will begin at around 4 p.m. Santa will wave to children as he passes by and spread holiday cheer. While he is on his journey, he is unlikely to visit every home in the city.
While his sleigh is in the shop, Santa has decided to borrow the fire department’s fire truck. The fire department has arranged for Santa to drive around town each night for the week of Dec. 13 and 14. He will ride through town until he’s done his route, and periodically sound the siren, so it’s a good idea to plan on arriving early in the morning.
The NFD’s Facebook page will list a route of Santa’s visits to the town. Please note that times may vary based on emergency calls. You can sign up multiple children for the event, but you must do so separately.
