When he was eleven, Nate discovered graphic sex videos of his father. After finding these videos, he started following a strict diet and fitness regime. He later developed anger problems and a distorted perception of sex.

While Nate’s behavior is often portrayed as a “good boy,” it’s clear that his actions aren’t always good for his family. His short temper and lack of empathy are also apparent, and he often disregards the rules. This may be what the show’s creators wanted to convey, but few viewers see the character as damaged.
