The Lafayette Fire Department’s Tactical Rescue Team consists of 20 firefighters of all ranks. These firefighters attend monthly training sessions. These firefighters do not receive compensation for this training, which is done off-duty. However, they receive training grants from the Build Indiana Fund and the Homeland Security.
