1969 Lamborghini Islero 400 GTS

The 1969 Lamborghini Islero 400 GTS was made to last by the Italian Lamborghini company. The Islero came in two models, the S and non-S model. Of the two variations, 100 are model S and 126 are non-S models. 1968 was the first year of the series and 1970 the last. The Islero is the kind of car you are likely to see on Sothebys rather than on the road or in classic car shows. Standard features of the S are side vents, suspension and braking upgrades, an air conditioned cabin along with high-backed seats.

The Islero 400 is a notchback couple with hidden headlights and lots of fun as well as sporty and functional features inside the cab and under the hood. The factory radio is a Blaupunkt Blue Spot. Did you know that Roger Moore once drove an Islero? It was brought in for the 1970 movie The Man Who Haunted Himself. The Moore Islero was an S version in a color known as a metallic azure blue with grey leather interior. The Moore model had air-conditioning and a sprint engine added on. It later sold at auction for £106,400 which is $172,388.87 USD when adjusted for inflation.
